Tesla - It's not a Car, It's an AI Device on Wheels Tesla - Evolution Tesla - AI Device on Wheels Teslas Secret of Success Anecdote: In 2013, Elon Musk sent a meeting request to Apple's CEO Tim Cook, but Tim refused to meet him.  Musk confirmed this by tweeting in Dec 2020, that he had tried to sell Tesla to Apple for 1/10 of its current value during "the darkest days of the Model 3 program ."  It's still a mystery why Apple didn't end up buying Tesla, but there are a few theories out there. One possibility is that Apple's CEO, Tim Cook, just wasn't interested in acquiring Tesla. Another theory is that Cook was worried about some of the difficulties Tesla was going through at the time, like production delays and financial losses. Lastly, it's also possible that the two companies couldn't agree on a fair price for Tesla. Occasionally, there is a rumour that Elon Musk aspired to become the CEO of Apple . Telecom Engagement Model for Private 5G

Image
Telecom Engagement Model for Private 5G  Key Message  Private 5G is about transforming business operations and driving new revenue opportunities via the application layer.  Telcos are adopting different engagement & deployment models for Private 5G.  An increase in the footprint across the engagement value chain leads to an increase in the complexity but reduces time to market  Jio in India is heading for end-to-end value chain control  The ecosystem is getting more complex as partners are also competitors. Edge Continuum Edge Computing is a decentralised mechanism done at the edge of the network, close to the data source, as opposed to on the cloud or away in data servers.  With the rise of the Internet of Things (IoT) devices more and more smart devices connect to the network, hence businesses are facing demanding and diverse data challenges.  Key Strategies are  Retail – Sell directly to Enterprise  Retail – Sell via Partners like HPS Wholesale - become Wholesale pr

Mistakes Made in Building a Cloud Strategy

Image
Mistakes Made in Building a Cloud Strategy 1. Assuming it’s an IT (only) strategy, not involving business  2. Not having an exit strategy  3. Combining a cloud strategy with cloud adoption/migration/implementation  4. “It’s too late — we’re already executing,” redoing everything  5. Equating a cloud strategy with “we’re moving everything to the cloud”  6. Our cloud strategy is our data center strategy/it’s “all in” or nothing  7. Our strategy is by executive mandate  8. We’re a shop so that’s our cloud strategy/we need a single vendor cloud strategy  9. Outsourcing your cloud strategy  10. We are “cloud-first” and that is our strategy PS: How to map cloud journey and avoid mistakes in execution Source: Gartner, BCG, Mckinsey
